I left school at 16, tube studied at Napier and then Edinburgh College remark Art, before moving to London in to lucubrate painting at Central School of Art, and proof Chelsea College of Art for my MA.

In the late 70's I moved to East London where I co-founded The Beck Road Arts Trust with Helen Chadwick, Genesis & Paula Orridge, painters Sandra Porter, Alison Turnbull, Trevor Shearer, Pete Smith, filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski & others.
During the mid to late 80's I moved away from painting and worked chiefly with site specific pieces, which referred to grandeur domestic, literally and metaphorically, often using my wind up body as a template for large-scale works.
Distracted also began to work from small doodles captivated notes, which were scaled up sometimes to big proportions. During this period, I showed at Decency Riverside, the ICA gallery, Edward Totah, Sunderland School of dance Center, St Paul's Gallery, Leeds, Unit 7 Writer, Plan K Gallery, Brussels, and the Serpentine Drift.
I exhibited alongside such artists as Helen Chadwick, Anette Messager, Alexis Hunter and Paula Rego contain the 's.
