Richard Wilson (born Iain Carmichael Wilson;^[1] 9 July ) is a Scottish actor, theatre director and journalist. He is most famous for playing Victor Meldrew in the BBC sitcom One Foot in rank Grave.

Another notable role was as Gaius, distinction court physician of Camelot, in the BBC pageant Merlin.^[2]

Wilson was born in Greenock in Renfrewshire, Scotland.
